도로 경기 (Road Race)
경보와 마라톤은 '트랙 앤 필드'에서 펼쳐지는 육상이 아닌, 도로 위의 정해진 코스에서 펼쳐지는 경기이므로 별도로 분류한다.

 

 

경보(Race Walk)
빠르게 걷는 종목이며 20km와 35km이 있다. 한 발이 땅에서 떨어지기 전에 반드시 다른 발이 땅에 닿아야 하며 그렇지 않으면 반칙이 된다. 3명으로 구성된 심판원들은 선수들의 동작을 보고 경고를 주며 3번 받으면 실격 처리를 내릴 수 있다.

중국과 일본이 세계 정상급을 차지하고 있다. 세계 선수권에서 남녀 구분없이 매번 중국과 일본 선수들이 메달을 수상하고 있으며 특히 중국은 여자 20km 경보에서는 세계 최강이다. 대체로 여자는 중국이 강하고, 남자는 일본이 강한 것이 특징이다. 2019 세계 선수권에서는 중국이 여자 경보 금메달을 석권, 일본이 남자 경보 금메달을 석권했다. 일본은 본래 마라톤에서 최강이었지만 2015 세계 선수권에서 경보에서 최초의 메달을 따내며 이후 경보를 집중 육성하며 최상위권을 유지하기 시작했다. 서술했듯 그 이전에는 마라톤에서 최정상급 기량을 선보이며 메달을 수상했지만 이후 동아프리카 국가 선수들이 치고올라와 최상위권에서 미끄러졌다.

 

 

마라톤(Marathon)
42.195km를 뛰는 종목. 100m 달리기와 함께 올림픽과 육상자체를 상징하는 종목이다. 한국이 올림픽 육상에서 메달을 획득한 유일한 종목이다.

Race Walk
Fast walking events include 20 kilometers and 35 kilometers. Before one foot falls off the ground, the other foot must touch the ground, otherwise it will be a foul. Three judges give warnings to players based on their movements, and are disqualified if they receive three times.

China and Japan are at the top of the world. Chinese and Japanese athletes, regardless of gender, are always winning medals at the world championships, and China is especially the best in the world in the women's 20km race. In general, China is strong in women's race and Japan in men's race. At the 2019 World Championships, China won the gold medal in women's race, and Japan won the gold medal in men's race. Japan was originally the strongest in the marathon, but after that, it won the first medal in race at the 2015 World Championships, and began to maintain the top ranks by intensively fostering race track records. As described, before that, athletes from East African countries won medals by showing top-notch skills in marathon, but after that, athletes from East African countries shot up and slipped at the top.



Marathon
Runs 42.195 kilometers. Along with the 100-meter dash, the event symbolizes the Olympics and track and field. It is the only event in which Korea has won a medal in track and field at the Olympics.
