9일(현지시각) 세계 최대 IT 전시회 ‘CES 2025′ 내 중국 로보락의 전시 부스. 세계 최초 5축 접이식 로봇 팔을 탑재한 로봇청소기 ‘사로스 270′이 청소를 하던 도중 주변에 널브러진 양말 앞에 멈췄다. 잠시 뒤 로봇청소기 상단에 탑재된 로봇 팔이 천천히 펼쳐지더니 양말을 들어 올린 뒤, 바닥을 청소했다. 청소가 끝난 뒤에는 양말을 제자리에 돌려놨다.
이날 전시관에서 로보락은 대표 제품인 로봇 청소기 외에도 최근 출시한 진공청소기와 1인 세탁건조기 등을 공개했다. 한국에서 로봇청소기 시장 1위를 달리고 있는 로보락은 CES 2025에서 공개한 신제품을 들고 미국 시장을 공략할 방침이다. 로보락 관계자는 “세상에 없던 신제품을 통해 로봇 청소기 시장 주도권을 강화하는 한편, 미국 시장을 겨냥한 홍보를 위해 로보락의 기술력이 담긴 신제품을 공개했다”고 설명했다.
로보락의 사로스 270에는 주변 사물을 감지하기 위한 센서와 카메라, 발광다이오드(LED) 조명이 탑재됐다. 바닥을 돌아다니다가 이동시켜야 하는 물건이 있는 경우 들어 올릴 수 있는 무게인지 확인한다. 로봇 팔이 나와 물건을 집은 뒤에는 물건이 있던 공간을 자동으로 청소한다. 무게는 최대 300g까지 들 수 있다.
로보락의 로봇 청소기에는 내비게이션 시스템인 스타사이트 자율 시스템 2.0이 적용했다. 이를 통해 청소 공간을 자체적으로 지도화하고 장애물을 빠르게 감지한다. 측면 장애물 회피 기술인 버티빔 등도 적용돼 집안 인테리어에 관계 없이 알아서 위치와 가구 등 지형지물을 학습해 청소할 수 있다. 이번에 공개된 제품은 연내 한국 시장에 출시될 예정이다.

In addition to its flagship robot vacuum cleaner, Robo Rock also unveiled its recently launched vacuum cleaner and one-person laundry dryer at the exhibition hall. Robo Rock, the No. 1 robot vacuum cleaner in Korea, plans to target the U.S. market with its new products unveiled at CES 2025. "We have strengthened our dominance in the robot vacuum cleaner market through new products that have never existed before, and we have unveiled new products containing Robo Rock's technology to promote the U.S. market," a Robo Rock official said.
The Saros 270 from Roborac is equipped with sensors, cameras, and LED lights to detect surrounding objects. It moves around on the floor and checks if it is a weight that can be lifted if there is an object that needs to be moved. After the robot arm comes out and picks up the object, it automatically cleans the area where the object was located. It can weigh up to 300 grams.
Roborak's robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with "Star Site Autonomous System 2.0," a navigation system. Through this, the company maps cleaning spaces on its own and detects obstacles quickly. As it also uses "vertie beam," a side obstacle avoidance technology, it is possible to learn about location, furniture and other topographical features and clean them regardless of the interior design of the house. The newly-released product will be released in the Korean market by the end of this year.
