[브라질리언 주짓수, BJJ]

 

20세기 중반 태동하여, 1990년대 유명 격투가 호이스 그레이시가 널리 알린, 브라질 그레이시 일가의 브라질리언 주짓수, 일명 BJJ(Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu).

종합격투기계에서 주짓수라 하면 백이면 백 이 브라질리언 주짓수를 가리킨다. 종합격투기가 인기를 끌면서 브라질리언 주짓수(BJJ) 또한 전 세계적으로 큰 인기를 끌며 급성장하고 있다. 브라질리언 주짓수는 종합격투기(MMA) 대회의 주요 기술로 자리 잡았으며, UFC(Ultimate Fighting Championship) 등 유명 대회에서 많은 선수들이 BJJ 기술을 사용해 승리를 거두고 있다.

일본 유술은 전세계에 보급되어 있지만 특히 브라질 유술이 일본에 많이 알려져 있는데 초대 관장 엘리오 그레이시 부터 시작해 그의 자손들, 즉 자식부터 손주들까지 가문이 대를 이어서 유술의 종주국인 일본 무술가들에게 교류형식의 대련이 아닌 시합형태로 도전하는 어그로성 도발을 많이 했기 때문이다.  초대가 일본 유도가에게 처음 도전한게 1951년이니 거의 반세기 가까운 악연이 된것.. 초대의 도전은 패배하긴 했으나 흥행은 성공한 탓에 일본에 이름을 알리는데 성공하였고 여기서 그치지 않고 후손들도 같은 행위를 일본 무도가들에게 계속하며 자존심을 건드려다. 특히 30년 넘게 발리투도 경기의 노하우를 쌓아 그레이시가의 무술 체계가 무르익었다며 내놓은 완성형 유술가라고 불리던 호이스 그레이시 대에 이르러선 이들의 MMA경력은 매우 화려했고 MMA경력이 적은 일본 무술가들이 도발에 못이겨 MMA룰로 나왔다가 연패하는 일이 계속되었는데 이것을 일본 파이터들.. 그 중에서도 쇼맨쉽과 마케팅에 능숙한 프로레슬링 사무소 소속의 사쿠라바 카즈시가 당시 세계 최대 MMA단체였던 Pride에서 역으로 그대로 갚아주기 시작하면서 이들의 라이벌 구도 대전의 흥행이 전세계에 이르며 유술의 강력함을 널리 알리는데 지대한 역할을 했다.

 

 

Born in the mid-20th century, the Brazilian Gracie family's Brasilian Jiu-Jitsu, also known as BJJ, was widely known by renowned fighter Hoyes Gracie in the 1990s.

In mixed martial arts (MMA), when it comes to jiu-jitsu, 100 refers to Brazilian jiu-jitsu. As mixed martial arts (MMA) become popular around the world, Brazilian jiu-jitsu is also rapidly growing as it is gaining popularity around the world. Brazilian jiu-jitsu has become a major technique in MMA competitions, and many athletes have won by using BJJ techniques in famous competitions such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Japanese martial arts are widely distributed around the world, but Brazilian martial arts are especially well known in Japan. Starting with the first director Elio Gracie, his descendants, from his children to his grandchildren, made a lot of aggro provocations that challenged Japanese martial artists, who are the masters of magic, in the form of a match rather than an exchange. The first time the invitation challenged a Japanese judo player was in 1951, so it became a bad actor for nearly half a century. Although the challenge of the invitation was defeated, it succeeded in making its name known to Japan because of its successful box office success, and not stopping here, descendants continue to do the same to Japanese martial artists and touch their pride. In particular, at the Hois Gracie University, which was called the "completed magicians" who were said to have matured Gracie's martial arts system by building know-how in the Balitudo game for more than 30 years, their MMA experience was very spectacular, and Japanese martial artists with little MMA experience came out as MMA rules because they were not able to provoke them, and they continued to lose consecutively.. Among them, Sakuraba Kazushi, a professional wrestling office skilled in showmanship and marketing, began to pay back the world's largest MMA organization at the time, and their rivalry also played a significant role in spreading the power of magic around the world.

 

 

[유러피안 주짓수, JJIF]

 

유럽에서 성행하여 2018 자카르타·팔렘방 아시안 게임부터 정식 종목으로 채택된 주짓수(JJIF). 이 주짓수(JJIF)는 정부 주도 하에 가라데, 유도, 아이키도 등의 무술을 혼합해서 군, 경찰, 민간인을 위한 호신술을 만들려는 의도에서 탄생했다. 그러다 스포츠화되었으며 파이팅, 듀오 등의 종목으로 시합을 선보여 왔다. 2010년대 들어서 네와자(그라운드 공방)라는 새로운 시합 형식이 추가됐는데 이 네와자가 상술한 아시안 게임 정식 종목이다.

 

 

JJIF, which was popular in Europe and has been adopted as an official event since the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games. JJIF was born with the intention of creating self-defense techniques for the military, police, and civilians by mixing martial arts such as karate, judo, and aikido under the leadership of the government. Then, it became a sport and has been showing matches through sports such as fighting and duo. In the 2010s, a new game format called Newaja (ground workshop) was added, which is an official Asian Games sport described above.
