구보다, 대동, 존디어, ai 경작지 구분

 

 

 

CES에 한국 농기계 기업 중에는 대동이 올해 처음으로 참가했다. 역시 자율주행 트랙터를 공개했다. 자율주행만 놓고 보면 기술력이 존디어, 구보다에 뒤지지 않는다. 대동 트랙터도 4년의 개발 끝에 주행, 선회, 장애물 감지, 정지 등이 가능하다. 지난해 언론 행사에서 이미 시연도 했다.

 

당시는 자율주행 전에 농부가 경작지의 경계선을 따라 한차례 수동주행을 하며 트랙터에 작업 범위를 인식시켜줘야 한다는 점이 한계로 지적됐다. 경작지들의 특성이 워낙 다양해 데이터를 아무리 수집해도 경작지의 안과 밖을 완벽히 구분하기 어렵기 때문이었다. CES에서 확인 결과 존디어와 구보다도 같은 목적의 수동주행이 필요했다. 경작지의 경계선을 AI로 완벽히 구분하는 것은 불가능하다고 보는 분위기다.

 

존디어와 구보다, 대동은 이제 자율주행의 실용화 경쟁을 하고 있다. 존디어의 2세대 GPU는 주변 사물을 포착하는 방식을 수정했다. 기존에는 카메라 두 개가 한 지점을 포착해 거리를 계산했다면 이제 3개, 4개가 동원된다. 그 결과 더 먼 사물을 인식할 수 있고 주행 가능 속도가 40% 빨라졌다.

 

 

 

Daedong participated in CES for the first time among Korean agricultural machinery companies this year. It also unveiled its self-driving tractor. When it comes to self-driving, its technological prowess is second to none. Daedong tractor can also be driven, turned, detected obstacles and stopped after four years of development. It has already been demonstrated at a media event last year.

 

It was pointed out as a limitation at the time that a farmer had to make a manual drive along the boundary line of the arable land and recognize the scope of work to the tractor before autonomous driving. The characteristics of the arable land are so diverse that it is difficult to completely distinguish between the inside and outside of the arable land no matter how much data is collected. CES confirmed that manual driving with the same purpose as Zondier and Gu was necessary. The atmosphere seems to be that it is impossible to completely distinguish the boundary line of arable land with AI.

Daedong is now competing for the commercialization of autonomous driving, rather than Zondier and Gu. Zondier's second-generation GPU has modified the way it captures objects around it. Previously, if two cameras captured a single point and calculated the distance, three or four cameras are now mobilized. As a result, it can recognize objects that are farther away and its driving speed is 40% faster.
