이번 CES에서 기업들은 나와 함께 하는, 동반자 역할을 하는 AI 로봇을 선보였다. 삼성전자와 LG전자를 비롯한 대기업 외에 스타트업들도 로봇을 들고 라스베이거스를 찾았다. 생성형 AI 발전에 따라 의사소통이 가능한, 이른바 외로움을 달래주는 공감 능력이 장착된 로봇이다. 실제 형태도 강아지나 고양이 로봇을 비롯해 사람 형태와 유사한 모습의 로봇도 전시됐다.

특히 미국 로봇기업인 리얼보틱스(Realbotix)는 인간과 유사한 외모와 상호작용 능력을 갖춘 휴머노이드 로봇을 개발하고 있다. 대표 제품인 ‘아리사(Aria)’와 사진을 찍기 위해 CES 관람객들이 줄지어 서기도 했다. 리얼보틱스 관계자는 “로봇 기술 발전에 따라 로봇이 정말 내 친구가 될 수 있는 미래가 멀지 않았다”며 “더욱 진화할 것”이라고 말했다.

 

At this year's CES, companies have introduced AI robots that work with them and act as partners. Start-ups including Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics also brought robots to Las Vegas. They are robots that can communicate with advanced Generative AI and are equipped with empathy to soothe loneliness. Robots that look similar to human shapes, including dogs and cats, were also on display.

In particular, Realbotix, an American robot company, is developing humanoid robots with human-like appearance and interaction capabilities. Visitors to CES lined up for photos with its flagship product "Aria." "With the development of robot technology, the future where robots can really become my friends is not far away," a Realbotix official said. "It will evolve further."
