크로스오버, Crossover

농구에서 V자로 방향전환하는 드리블을 가리킨다. 혹은 여기서 발전하여 드리블을 하다가 급격하게 좌우로 방향을 바꾸거나 페이크를 줘서 상대 수비수를 속이는 기술을 의미하기도 한다. 21세기 들어서는 보통 후자의 의미로 많이 쓴다.

본래 단순히 한쪽 손에서 다른쪽 손으로 드리블하며 옮기는 동작을 크로스오버라 칭하다가, 드리블 기술의 발달에 따라 새로운 크로스오버 기술들의 등장이 엄청나게 이루어지고 해당 크로스오버 드리블들의 명칭도 새로 생기면서 점차 독립된 용어가 되었다. 당장 이 '크로스오버' 드리블만 따져도 아이버슨의 드리블과 데론 윌리엄스의 드리블 등등 다 이름이 다르고 움직임이 다르다.

카이리 어빙처럼 크로스오버를 연속으로 넣어 수비수의 타이밍을 빼앗을 수도 있다. 참고로 중간중간 섞어주는, 가랑이 사이로 공을 넘기는 레그 스루(Leg through) 드리블링만 크로스오버라고 하는 경우가 많은데, 다리 사이로 드리블을 치든 앞에서 치든 비하인드더백으로 치든 좌우로 급격하게 방향 전환만 해주면 전부 크로스오버에 해당한다. 좌우 방향전환으로 상대를 속이는 한 종류만 있는게 아니다.

과거에는 팀 하더웨이와 앨런 아이버슨이 최고의 권위자로 명성을 날렸고, 마이클 조던이나 코비 브라이언트와 같은 스윙맨 에이스들 중에도 능숙하게 구사하는 선수들이 많았다. 이는 핸들링의 평균 수준이 상향평준화된 지금도 마찬가지라 돌파 좀 한다는 가드~포워드에겐 필수적인 기술이다.

더불어 하킴 올라주원이나 앤서니 데이비스처럼 센터임에도 꽤 날카로운 크로스오버를 구사하는 선수들도 간혹 나오는데, 이 경우 시전자들의 체격상 드리블이 높고 윙스팬도 길다보니 크로스오버를 할 때 볼이 움직이는 거리가 상당해서 가드의 그것보다 더 위협적인 무브가 되기도 한다.

 

 

 

It refers to a dribble that changes direction from basketball to V-shape. It also refers to a technique that develops here and dribbles and then rapidly changes direction from side to side or gives a fake to deceive the opponent's defender. In the 21st century, it is usually used in the latter sense.

Originally, simply dribbling and moving from one hand to the other was called crossover, but with the development of dribbling technology, new crossover technologies have emerged tremendously and the names of the crossover dribbles have been newly created, gradually becoming an independent term. Right now, just by considering this "crossover" dribble, the names and movements of Iverson and Deron Williams are all different.


Like Kyrie Irving, the team can also throw back-to-back crossovers to steal a defender's timing. For reference, only leg-through dribbling, which is mixed in the middle and crosses the ball through the crotch, is often called a crossover. Whether dribbling between legs, hitting in front or behind-the-back, a sharp change of direction from side to side constitutes a crossover. There is not only one type of cheating on an opponent by changing direction from side to side.

In the past, Tim Hardaway and Alan Iverson had a reputation as top authorities, and many of the swingman aces such as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant were skillful. This is an essential skill for a guard-forward who breaks through, as the average level of handling is still the same even now.

In addition, there are sometimes players who use quite sharp crossovers even though they are centers like Hakeem Olajuwon and Anthony Davis, and in this case, the dribbling of the visionaries is high and the wingspan is long, so the distance the ball moves during the crossover is considerable, making it a more threatening move than that of the guard.
